General Overview:

The Domain Architect for Enterprise Integration Services is accountable and responsible for providing architectural leadership in driving the vision and strategy which will implement our enterprise integration fabric to enable technology teams to more effectively deliver business capabilities in a hybrid environment.

This role will engage, collaborate and partner with various functional leaders, technical leaders and executive stakeholders to understand long and short term business and technology strategies, provide thought leadership and engage in proactive planning of an executable technology roadmap. These roadmaps will address the strategic and tactical business and technology priorities as well as challenges and intended business outcomes. This role will also be responsible for helping to establish the practice of Enterprise Integration Services and will be key in driving API first and DevOps thinking to deliver business capabilities in a transforming environment.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Contributes to the development (taking lead) and executes to deliver a future state architecture that transforms our current technology landscape from monolithic to service oriented decoupling presentation layers and business logic from systems of record
  • Works with business product owners and Enterprise Integration Services product owner to understand business capability definitions to sequence into a services/api driven roadmap
  • Works with Enterprise Data Management to influence data architecture in support of integrated services
  • Provides domain specific technical expertise and leadership to develop integration solutions spanning business processes, platforms and environments
  • Mentors and guides junior staff
  • Collaborates with Cloud services team to align services for the cloud supporting a continuous develop and continuous integration methodology
  • Drive innovation through API and Microservices hackathons
  • Participates in R&D activities related to technologies in the specified area of expertise, making recommendations for possible acquisition.
  • Develops, improves, validates and uses tools to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of architectural efforts, within both the area of expertise and scope of influence.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years technical leadership and/or architecture experience.
  • Experience in defining architectures that meet security, scalability, high availability, and network management/monitoring requirements, in a hybrid environment
  • Experience in Systems engineering techniques such as architecture modeling, alternative analysis, tradeoff analysis, and portfolio analysis.
  • Experience in business process modeling & reengineering.
  • Experience in various architecture disciplines like Application, Data, Security and Infrastructure.
  • Experience with developing integration solutions and ecosystems that decouple data from systems of records and presentation systems that scale.
  • Mastery level knowledge API's and Frameworks and data integration models
  • Strong knowledge of SOAP and REST WS-service design patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, REST and WSDL technologies
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture design, web/RESTful services, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, proactively innovating solutions that support the goals and desired outcomes that provide business value

Education - Degrees/Certificates

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
