The Design Coordinator assists and supports NeueHouse Studio in all planning, designing, and furnishing of all new projects. They are detail oriented, calm under pressure, reliable, a multi-tasker and participator in the creation of design solutions. Their responsibilities include but not limited to:
¥ Assists NH Studio Team in the development and expression of design concepts relating to the interiors of new NeueHouse locations, all design areas that visually affect the brand as well as external projects.
¥ Ensures that the NeueHouse vision is accurately interpreted by the Location Architect and consultants. This involves not only the furniture, fixtures and equipment but the interior architecture of the spaces also.
¥ Develops presentations of the studio’s design ideas for internal stakeholders as well as external
¥ Researches furniture, finishes and products appropriate to project type and use.
¥ Monitors quality and execution of all custom production from inception to installation.
¥ Maintains ongoing research and dialogue with vendors and products to expand the resource/vendor
¥ Liaises with vendors/fabricators and procurement team to ensure that approvals happen in timely manner.
¥ Manages all administration and archiving.
Requirements of a Design Coordinator:
¥ Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent degree in a design field.
¥ Minimum 2 years of experience in design field.
¥ AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator min.) and Microsoft Office skills.
¥ Experience in residential interiors and an understanding of hospitality design.
¥ High caliber and strong sensitivity to design.
¥ Excellent team management and communication skills.
¥ Ability to handle simultaneous, multiple projects across multiple locations.
¥ Curious, proactive, organized, methodical in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
