WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Learn the functions that are performed in each of our on-site specialized shops at our facility in Hanover, Maryland. You will also spend time in the field with our staff, being a part of live televised broadcasting! This is a summer program that is designed to augment students' educational experience with basic electronics training in a real-world setting.

  • Sets up camera controls, pointer poles, camera backs and receive sites
  • Cleans and tests fiber systems
  • Assists in truck setup and tear down
  • Programs all RF gear
  • Repairs field audio gear
  • Diagnoses potential causes of RF equipment malfunction using knowledge of equipment and/or technical drawings


WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Education:


Required: High School Diploma / GED

Preferred: Pursuing Associates Degree in Electronics Technology, or a related field

Experience:


Preferred: Knowledge or training to perform the essential functions of the position

Preferred: Experience operating, installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment

Knowledge / Abilities:


Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing demands

Ability to troubleshoot (define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions)

Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronics

Good listening, communication and time management skills - must be able to follow directions
