Senior Business Analyst (Education Lending Products)

Overview

Responsible for strategy and planning to align Education Lending business operations with the credit union's mission and goals. Conduct analyses and gather, organize and review data to identify internal and external strategic issues and opportunities affecting growth and profitability of the organization. Work under minimal supervision and use complete understanding of business needs and objectives to support projects that have impact on the achievement of operational goals. Advanced skill set and proficiency with analytical techniques and tools including SQL Server, Azure Data Studio, and PowerBI .

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business data and conduct analyses and reporting to identify challenges and opportunities; provide solutions to complex business problems using quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis
  • Partner across teams to develop advanced statistical models and forecasting techniques to predict future business performance and inform strategic decision-making
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
  • Assess requirements for internal business processes, ensuring integration across teams and business units and compatibility with organizational strategic goals
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in business and operational strategy, planning and analysis
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of business area/specialization
  • Advanced knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research
  • Research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Advanced problem resolution skills including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues
  • Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
  • Advanced project management skill to lead projects and/or initiatives of medium to large scope to include working effectively with diverse internal and external contacts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
