POSITION TITLE: Phlebotomy Manager (In-Office)

POSITION LOCATION: Remote, USA - Texas OR Central US preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:

The in-Office Phlebotomy Manager assists in overseeing Natera's in-office phlebotomy program as the primary contact for field-based phlebotomy team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with managing all in-office Natera phlebotomists:
    • May include staffing phlebotomists for offices, onboarding, training, performance documentation, ad hoc site coverage, and management of in-office phlebotomy staff
    • May require ongoing spot check-ins of phlebotomists in various cities, to ensure ongoing quality of practice and patient management skills
    • May require personal approach for staff retraining and education to address personnel skills deficiencies, including possible performance improvement plan management

  • Monitor in office draw volume
  • Monitor and address customer feedback to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Manage small escalations, as needed, related to in-office draws
  • Manage scheduling for in-office phlebotomists
  • Ensures continued and open communication regarding draw status and completion
  • Focus on growing in-office phlebotomy program
  • General knowledge of phlebotomy requirements for each state
  • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic forms, and will have access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job
  • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • BS/BA degree in biology or related field
    • 5+ years high level customer care experience
    • Nationally certified in phlebotomy and/or registered nurse
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • General understanding of phlebotomy services and program management
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to learn and embrace online tools for effective program management
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • This position is/can be remote
    • Must be able to join e-meetings, communicate and work effectively if remote
    • Travel will be required: 50-75% travel
