About the opportunity

We are looking for a Director of People - US to manage and deliver on the N26 - US employee growth. You’ll work very closely with the CEO-US, CPO, Senior Manager Leadership & Organisational Development, and the Senior Leadership team of the US.

You’ll organise, and develop the team to execute on our ambitious growth plans in the US. Your success will be measured by delivering against our growth plans, and how well you are able to motivate and engage your team. 

But that is not all, you will transform our general company set up to prepare for future growth in the US. You will take responsibility for the different functions within the US departments and translate the Berlin HQ framework for the New York office. But you are not only in the HR Business Partner function for the US, you will rather have global responsibility. 

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and lead complex projects to support our organizational health 
  • Implement Performance Management strategies in the business function you are supporting
  • Drive data-informed decisions and support in calibrating and rewarding high performance
  • Evolve the N26 organizational effectiveness by initiating global people programs 
  • Drive strategic leadership development activities for one of our key markets 
  • Partner with the senior leaders within N26 to offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

  • 10+ years of experience working in different HR functions

Skills: 

  • A passion for and multi-year experience as an HR Business Partner, driving high employee engagement in an international context
  • Strong project management, and preferably experience in implementing and managing company wide HR projects or programs
  • Implement Performance Management strategies in the business function you are supporting
  • Drive data-informed decisions and support in calibrating and rewarding high performance
  • Evolve the N26 organizational effectiveness by initiating global people programs 
  • Driving strategic leadership development activities for one of our key markets 
  • A growth mindset and agile approach to problem-solving
