Construction Intern

Description

MWH Constructors is accepting applications for an Internship opportunity to support our wastewater infrastructure project in Orlando, FL.

MWH Constructors is a licensed, bonded general contractor, performing at-risk construction and design-build projects, with a strong focus on water/wastewater infrastructure.

Possible Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Field Engineers with project controls, change orders, RFI's, and other construction administration duties.

  2. Prepare look ahead schedules with information from subcontractors.

  3. Assist in generation of various reports such as submittal and RFI logs, and with document control.

  4. Process Submittals and RFIs.

  5. Update working drawings with RFIs and Changes. Keep this set up to date to ensure the team is working with the most current information.

  6. Perform simple calculations.

  7. Provide technical support for construction effort.

  8. Contact vendors for information.

  9. Comply with company policies and procedures.

  10. Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

  1. In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  2. Intern candidates eligible to apply must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program and in Junior or Senior status.

  3. GPA of 3.0 and higher preferred.

  4. Bright, easy to work with, good communication skills, patience necessary.

  5. New college graduates are not eligible for internships at MWH, however,

MWH hires recent graduates at an Associate-level. New graduates are encouraged to review and apply for Associate-level positions at www.mwhglobal.com.
