Information Technology Specialist (full-time)

If so, then the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago is looking for you!

We have an opening for a full-time Information Technology Specialist who will answer helpdesk requests, trouble-shoot, and correct the day-to-day hardware and software issues as well as assist in basic network administration including user account setup and updates. Other responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and configuring hardware and software; monitoring and addressing issues with current systems; maintaining a variety of records and logs; and maintaining and updating the printing environment as well as the MCA's asset database and Intranet.

Desired qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience, minimum three years of experience supporting users in a Microsoft Windows environment, and:

  • Experience installing servers, desktops, laptops, and printers required.
  • Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: MAC OS, VMWare, and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 and Microsoft Office Suites required.
  • Experience with domain services such as Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of five workdays including Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 5pm. General mobility throughout all museum properties and ability to lift and move computer equipment required.
