Senior Product Manager, Developer Tooling

As Senior Product Manager for the Mule Development Platform, you will own the Mule Runtime and developer tools that power the heart of the Anypoint Platform. You will inherit a large, passionate user base where you will be responsible for taking the product to the next level of adoption and success. You’ll work with designers and engineers to figure out what are the right development paradigms and experiences to make developers productive building APIs and integrations on the Anypoint Platform. You will be responsible for developing new tools and features to enhance the software development lifecycle, from design to test to production. Throughout all of this, you’ll work cross functionally with sales and marketing to promote and ensure that customers are successful with the product.

Goals for your first three months:

30 days:

  • Become an expert in Mule and Anypoint Studio, and establish yourself as the go-to person for all information related to Mule and Anypoint Studio
  • Build a clearly defined roadmap and execution plan for Mule Runtime, Anypoint Studio, and MuleSoft’s Mule toolchain, focused on developing innovative ways to speed development integrations and APIs and accelerate developer adoption

60 days:

  • Execute on regular new releases of our platform, including working with marketing to promote releases through blogs and webinars
  • Work with other product teams who depend on Mule to incorporate requirements into the core runtime and deliver on cross-company initiatives

90 days:

  • Present back to PM team strategy, learning and goals
  • Continue to extend vision, strategy and roadmap

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Deep technical understanding of all things integration and APIs
  • Empathy and passion for developers
  • Great understanding of today’s application developer challenges
  • Passion for creating amazing products aimed at software developers
  • Good public speaking skills and the ability to be at ease presenting to large technical audiences
  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize and deliver on commitments
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA with exposure or background in technical discipline preferred
