Senior Contracts Negotiator

The ideal candidate will thrive in a startup environment, influence the growth of the contracts team and become a key contributor to our sales trajectory. He/She must also have an innate desire to drive and grow the company’s contracts infrastructure.

About the Position:

Reporting directly to our Commercial Counsel, our Sr. Contracts Negotiator will help lay down the foundation for a scalable global sales contracts process. In this role, he/she will operate with great autonomy. Commitment to meeting deadlines and the drive to consistently exceed client expectations are a must.

Position Deliverables:

30 Days:

  • Develop a complete understanding of our business model, iPaaS contracting within the first 30 days

60 Days:

  • Build rapport with sales team to become a trusted advisor 
  • Leverage your experience to every task: RFPs, invitations to bid and other related documents which drive sales initiatives 
  • Draft, review, negotiate and manage a variety of commercial contracts, including software and cloud license agreements, partner agreements, and professional services agreements

90 Days:

  • Interface with Sales, SalesOps, Finance and Legal regarding the negotiation of contracts
  • Ensure contracts terms and conditions are consistent with MuleSoft’s business practices, policies and goals (financial, strategic, etc.)
  • Maintains library of current template forms, negotiated provisions and other relevant information

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience as a self-driven Sr. Contracts Negotiator who drafts agreements and serves as commercial negotiator
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Responsive and service-oriented attitude
  • Experience in enterprise software, with knowledge of iPaaS as a positive
  • An affinity for a fast-paced company culture
  • 5+ years of prior experience in a contracts negotiator role
