Senior Associate, Event Marketing

As our Senior Associate, Event Marketing you will manage vendor relationships to ensure deadlines are met for our CONNECT user conference, MuleSoft summits and other projects and campaigns. Our CONNECT user conference has grown year-over-year -- you’ll have the opportunity to put your organizational and customer service skills to the test managing our attendee journey, from online registration to the moment they check-in on site.

This is a highly visible role working with external and internal C-Level executives managing their speaking/sponsor communications. You’ll partner closely with our Product and Corporate Marketing teams to deliver meaningful experiences with integrity, enthusiasm, empathy, performance excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Goals for your first three months:

30 days:

  • Get up to speed on MuleSoft's event marketing process and CONNECT (goals, key messaging and agenda)
  • Design and manage sponsor booths for all levels
  • Develop program and event timelines for CONNECT user conference and summits, and begin to execute on program deliverables
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all sponsorship contacts and revenue projection pipeline of opportunities

60 days:

  • Develop and manage communication materials for speakers, including confirmation, event information, logistics, FAQs, press opportunities and post event
  • Create a sponsor resource center to help our sponsors better prepare for our conferences
  • Establish sponsorship contract/invoice process
  • Draft pre and post-event email templates for sponsors and provide ongoing communication regarding participation information, logistics, AV, exhibit space, day-of-event details, etc.
  • Execute on event logistics for CONNECT user conference and summits, including registration, attendee management and materials support
  • Contract and budget review for future events

90 days:

  • Plan the attendee event experience for MuleSoft’s user conference, striking the right balance between our stakeholders’ expectations and our budget’s limitations
  • Manage conference website and work with internal teams to update site (new information regarding speakers, content, venue and sponsors)
  • Develop sponsorship a la carte options for CONNECT user conference and MuleSoft summits
  • Drive deadlines for content and communications to speakers/sponsors/attendees
  • Show early success of speaker/sponsor engagement - i.e. encourage speakers/sponsors to promote event via typical marketing channels (e.g., website, newsletters and social media)
  • International or domestic travel required 1 - 2 times per year

The ideal candidate will have:

  • You are open-minded, sociable and have excellent customer service skills
  • Planned and executed 10 plus tailor-made events for individual and/or corporate clients
  • You are a master of logistics, have strong organizational skills and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Quick on your feet and can come up with timely and creative solutions to any problems that might arise at any moment
  • Experience managing budgets ranging from $5,000-$100,000, finding cost effective solutions every chance you can
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and events concurrently
  • Experience in email marketing execution
