Salesforce Developer

Sales Systems at MuleSoft sits at the heart of all customer and partner related transactions — from when a prospect lead is generated to the closing of an order and the initiation and support of a customer.

As our Salesforce Developer, you will help define automation to support business growth, productivity, reporting, process adherence, and collaboration working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will implement business process automation for our lead-to-cash process, design and develop custom applications using Apex, Visualforce, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and collaborate with IT to oversee API-led integrations using MuleSoft to 3rd party systems like NetSuite and Workday.

Goals for your first three months:

30 days:

  • Complete MuleSoft’s onboarding program understanding our value proposition and product offerings
  • Learn our Sales System landscape and lead-to-cash processes
  • Meet all system stakeholders and external partners
  • Learn our process for managing new system requests and deployment schedule
  • Shadow and support development on current system projects

60 days:

  • End-to-end knowledge and understanding of our setup and code
  • Implement a sandbox management strategy and optimal promotion path
  • Support development on a systems project
  • Maintain request documentation in our tracking system

90 days:

  • Implement a code backup and versioning tool
  • Take on a mid-scale project with cross-functional dependencies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience working with the Salesforce.com platform and are an expert in system configuration and designing and developing code; experience with communities a plus
  • Salesforce.com Certified Developer preferred
  • Familiarity with configure, price, and quote (CPQ) tools; experience with Salesforce CPQ a plus
  • Experience with development using Eclipse or equivalent tools
  • Understanding of the system development lifecycle and technical design documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute cross-functional enhancements and projects
  • You are analytical, data-driven and comfortable using Excel and other data manipulation tools
  • You are passionate about systems and creating automation for scalability
