Regional Field Marketing Manager

About the Position:

MuleSoft is looking for a well-rounded, hard worker with a “can do” attitude, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. In this role, you will report to the Head of North American Field Marketing and work closely with the North American Sales, Channels and Customer Success teams to design and execute a wide range of marketing programs to ultimately drive pipeline. This position is perfect for the marketer that loves to work on both demand generation and events.


  • Work with Regional VP’s/Directors of Sales to develop the demand strategy to support their region’s numbers. You will own the full plan from creation, execution and budget recommendations.  You will be responsible for communicating the plan between marketing/sales ensuring the entire region is in alignment
  • Work with the regional sales teams, including Account Executives, Account Development Reps, Solutions Consultants, Customer Success and Regional VP’s/Directors, to drive and deliver best practice demand generation activities (events and campaigns)
  • Roll-out and manage regional demand gen campaigns, including message creation, outreach, digital, nurtures, webinars and customer marketing
  • Work closely with the channel team to incorporate partners into demand generation plans
  • Manage and deliver field marketing events, including industry tradeshows, multi-city program tours, workshops, seminars, executive briefings and webinars  
  • Own all aspects of delivering successful demand generation programs, including end to end logistics, contracting and budgeting at the regional levels, promotion plan, email campaigns, A/B testing, managing sales teams to drive towards campaign goals
  • Build reports and analyze them to measure demand-to-close metrics across field marketing campaigns and programs, optimizing resources against regional objectives
  • Suggest creative ideas and test/measure them using metrics
  • Assist with CRM data segmentation and improvement/enhancement of regional databases and provide tactical support in continuous improvement of regional marketing metrics and reports

Position Deliverables:

30 days:

  • Develop a complete understanding of the organization NA and Marketing
  • Develop a complete understanding of our business model
  • Develop a complete understanding of the Marketing motions globally, focus on NA
  • Develop a complete understanding of the Marketing resource we have
  • Become fully versed in MuleSoft SFDC

60 days:

  • Master our internal processes with little supervision including expenses, budget, planning and reporting
  • Develop a complete understanding of our core positioning and messages (Kick­Start)
  • Develop a complete understanding of our existing customer base
  • Develop a complete understanding of our existing partner eco­system (VAR, SI, GSI)
  • Start to run campaigns in Marketo with digital support
  • Start formulating your plan for late Q1 and H1 of 2017

90 days:

  • Start executing independently campaigns and activities, including delivering couple of milestone projects
  • Have your next 3-6 months of plans locked and loaded
  • Establish your own cadence

About You:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced marketing environment
  • 2+ years of demand generation experience
  • 1+ years event experience
  • Experience with SFDC
  • Experience with Marketo or Eloqua
  • Experience managing projects to a fixed budget and proven ROI
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and contractors
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to manage budget spreadsheets
  • Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint (and Office) skills
  • BS or BA related degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience
