Head of Marketing, EMEA

MuleSoft is looking for a seasoned, strategic-minded marketing executive to craft and execute a winning marketing strategy for our rapidly-growing EMEA business.   In this role you will work closely with the Account Development, Sales, Channels, Customer Success and Services functions to create and drive a plan to deliver against MuleSoft’s key strategic objectives.

This position is ideal for an experienced and hands-on marketing leader who has mastered the art of demand generation across EMEA and is ready to take the next step in their career by leading the marketing strategy and execution for a high-growth software solution company.  

You will have the opportunity to build and drive the EMEA go-to-market strategy in alignment with the wider sales and marketing organization. On establishing the plan, it will be about execution to the highest degree, in the midst of a highly evolving and complex region.

Deliverables:

  • Craft and drive regional marketing strategy for EMEA, in close collaboration with EMEA Sales, Channels, and Services leadership
  • Own and drive demand generation for the EMEA theater, including regionalized global campaigns, region-specific online programs, field events, and digital marketing
  • Build and lead a team of high-performing field marketing professionals
  • Create and execute a content localization strategy and plan
  • Support the global PR program, working with agencies and media outlets in the region

Goals for your first three months:

30 days:

  • Get up to speed on MuleSoft’s GTM, customer, and marketing impact
  • Schedule introductory meetings and develop a complete understanding of the EMEA organization and global marketing team

60 days:

  • Gear theatre and regional marketing plans and KPIs
  • Master all key internal processes from hiring to reporting
  • Complete your sales training
  • Understanding EMEA’s existing customer base and partners

90 days:

  • Define key focus areas and org requirements for next 6-9 months
  • Partner with Sales on expansion strategies into target regions across EMEA

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A keen understanding of the enterprise software sales cycle and buyer
  • Demonstrated leadership and impact in marketing programs management and/or demand generation
  • A strategic and analytical mindset, as well as a metrics-driven approach to marketing
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, keeping projects on-track and on budget
  • Familiarity with marketing automation (e.g., Marketo) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com) tools
  • Extensive experience in marketing and demand generation, preferably for a software or SaaS company
  • A team-player mentality - willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to drive the business
