Digital Marketing and Operations Associate

MuleSoft is looking to expand our award-winning Digital Marketing Team with an entrepreneurial team member who is driven, energetic, and resourceful. You will report to our Senior Manager, Digital & Lifecycle Marketing, and collaborate with cross-departmental teams in executing program launches, onboarding, promotional activities, and support the day-to-day needs of MuleSoft’s APAC and EMEA multi-channel marketing efforts. You will play an integral role in driving customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth while protecting and building upon the values and missions of the MuleSoft brand.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the development and management of regional marketing campaigns across all digital marketing channels including, but not limited to, emails, events, webinars and remarketing  
  • Analyze the performance of MuleSoft’s regional marketing (EMEA & APAC) channels, programs, and promotional activities using internal and 3rd party reporting tools and suggest optimizations to maximize ROI
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing, Web, Creative, Sales, Product and Customer Success teams to support strategic initiatives to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention and growth
  • Work closely with our Account Development (AD) team to ensure smooth hand off of leads to the sales organization and troubleshooting any related issues

Goals for your first 3 months:

30 days:

  • Develop a complete understanding of the global organization, meeting with frequent collaborators across Marketing, Sales Development, Product, and Customer Success
  • Build a foundational understanding of digital marketing programs and technologies:
    • Marketo (emails, forms, segmentation, real-time personalization)
    • On24 (webinars)
    • Cvent (event setup)
    • Vidyard (videos)
    • Salesforce (campaigns/ frequent reports)

60 days:

  • Develop a complete understanding of our core positioning and messages
  • Begin managing and launching email programs and campaigns in Marketo
  • Coordinate internal weekly communications of all new & upcoming programs
    • Internal field training
    • Assets
    • Technical resources
    • Upcoming events
    • Product releases

90 days:

  • Own nurture program reporting and optimization end-to-end: what’s working, what’s not? What do we test next?
  • Launch documentation of programs and how-tos for marketing ops enablement
  • Build out and run dedicated marketing onboarding training program and roll out to broader team (certification included)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics or related field
  • Marketo/Salesforce experience (or related marketing automation/CRM or email marketing)
  • Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Ability to present ideas, data, and results clearly and communicate effectively across business teams and with 3rd party vendors/account representatives
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills and proven ability to dissect large amounts of data and turn it into actionable initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Basic knowledge of image editing and graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Secondary language proficiency: Spanish, German, French, Mandarin
