Contracts Manager

 

As our Contracts Manager, you will help drive our sales contracting, deal processes and legal systems. This position will help build and scale tools to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the legal team as our company scales. As you grow in the role, you will take a more direct role in negotiating and closing deals.  The right candidate for the job is hyper-organized, intellectually curious, driven to see things through to completion and an overall good human. This role will report to our Commercial Senior Corporate Counsel.

 

Goals for your first three months:

 

30 Days:

  • Achieve familiarization with internal sales processes and systems
  • Understand MuleSoft’s business model
  • Manage comprehensive legal database and template repository

60 Days:

  • Review, draft and process a variety of agreements including Order Forms, SOWs and RFQ responses and other assorted agreements associated with sales.
  • Help manage workflow for larger legal team, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distribution

90 Days:

  • Own the legal database and commercial contracting process; identify and implement improvements

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of prior experience in a Contracts Manager/Paralegal or similar role with demonstrated commercial contracts negotiation experience
  • Strong experience working with commercial agreements and key legal terms (i.e., indemnification, limitation of liability, warranties, intellectual property, data rights, confidentiality)
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects by setting priorities and being flexible
  • Ability to spot issues and problem solve with exceptional attention to detail
  • Customer-focused mentality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain contract terms and procurement processes to other employees
  • Experience with enterprise software, including Concur, Box and Docusign (preferred)
  • Experience with improving operational efficiency in sales legal (preferred)
