Contracts Administrator

About the Position:

MuleSoft's Corporate Legal team is looking for a rockstar Contracts Administrator! Reporting directly to our Senior Corporate Counsel, our Contracts Administrator will drive our procurement contracting processes and manage our legal database. This position will also help build and scale tools to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the legal team. The right candidate for the job is hyper-organized, fanatical about seeing things through to completion, and an all-around wonderful human being.  

Position Deliverables:

30 Days:

  • Achieve familiarization with internal procurement processes and systems
  • Understand MuleSoft’s business model
  • Manage comprehensive legal database and template repository

 60 Days:

  • Review, negotiate, and draft a variety of agreements including recruiting agreements, SOWs and NDAs
  • Manage workflow for contract review process, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distribution

90 Days:

  • Own the legal database and procurement process and identify and implement improvements

About You:

Required:

  • AA/BA/BS required
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects by setting priorities and being flexible
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Problem solver and self starter
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain contract terms and procurement processes to other employees
  • Sense of humor

 The ideal candidate will also have:

  • 3+ years of prior experience in a Contracts Administrator or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function of key legal terms (i.e., indemnification, limitation of liability, warranties, intellectual property, data rights, confidentiality)
  • Experience in enterprise software, including Concur, Box and Docusign
  • Strong negotiator with experience in setting negotiation objectives and tactics
