Job Summary
Supporting the Production Control Tower Training Manager, the Training Specialist is charged with executing on several Know Your Customer (KYC) training strategy initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, new hire orientation, management and coordinating of ongoing training, creating training materials and programming, as well as supporting other change management initiatives, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expert:
- Coordinate with the business units and Second Line of Defense stakeholders on clarifying scope, process, and interpretation of KYC requirements;
- Partner with business units to support timely execution of KYC-related business initiatives while ensuring KYC requirements are met;
75% Major Responsibilities
- Drafting customized KYC training materials and programming
- Coordinate the scheduling, documentation, equipment setup, etc. with respect to online and in-person training.
- Delivering or assisting with the delivery of targeted, risk-based, and event-based training to bank employees.
- Monitor and maintain information related to attendance, reporting, feedback and other records related to training sessions.
- Analyze data to track completion reporting, identify and escalate non-compliant employees.
- Escalating training-related issues in accordance with the Escalation and Issue Management Standard.
25% Secondary Responsibilities
- Support and/or conduct targeted KYC training because of procedure updates, as needed;
- Support FLoD Control Office strategic plans and the operationalization of KYC-related procedures;
- Field and respond to questions and inquiries related to the KYC procedures and requirements;
- Conduct the analysis and reporting of questionable activity referrals to ensure FLoD staff persons are adhering to AML policy requirements.
Qualifications:
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently, ability to analyze and interpret the impact and implications of regulatory developments and communicate these clearly in writing and verbally through training materials.
- Strong written and verbal skills, excellent attention to detail, sound editorial judgment.
- 5 plus years' experience in KYC, compliance and risk management, with a strong emphasis on BSA/AML laws and regulations
- Strong understanding of Wholesale Banking products and U.S. banking regulations
- Experience in procedure development and regulatory interpretation
- Strong time management, prioritization, work organization and multi-tasking skills with a drive for efficiency, accuracy and risk management controls
- Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
The typical base pay range for this role is between $85,000 - $105,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
