Overall Purpose:

Candidate will assist senior marketers with our Project Finance clients' interest rate hedging needs. They will be a key point of customer contact for trade execution and be able to provide thoughtful and analytical market updates, product information and strategic advice. Candidate will coordinate efforts with relationship management, operations, legal and other groups to support the overall desk.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work with traders to execute interest rate derivative transactions for customers and support collaboration by sharing information with other MUFG professionals. Candidates at this level will maintain close relationships with peers across the bank globally for general and customer-specific collaboration, while seeking out business opportunities, and keeping peers and management well informed. The candidate will have, or will develop, a detailed knowledge of fixed income derivatives

Note: This role will start in June 2023

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing effort the Project Finance Derivative Solutions group at MUFG
  • Develop materials for client pitches and provide updated market coverage to clients
  • Price and execute derivative transactions, including calculation of XVA
  • Facilitate internal legal and credit processes
  • Build client relationships, cross and lead initiatives to consistently deliver high value solutions to our clients
  • Leverage internal resources and build team interactions with counterparts within MUFG
  • Perform various duties and participate in special projects as required

We require:

  • A Bachelor's degree (conferred before start date)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling and meeting multiple projects and deadlines
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of fixed income derivatives and related financial concepts is a plus
  • MUFG will not hire individuals for internships or entry-level positions whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and would not require visa sponsorship now, or in the future

The typical base pay range for this role is between $95k - $100k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
