Credit Vice President, PMG - TMT

Location: Menlo Park, CA

Overall Purpose of Job:

GCIB Credit Risk Manager for the TMT Industry Vertical with a primary focus on Emerging Technology -- The Credit Risk Manager in the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is responsible for the implementation of the credit risk management function within GCIB (Global Corporate & Investment Bank) and more specifically the Technology, Media, and Telecom Industry Vertical.

The Credit Risk Manager will:

  • Evaluate prospects and participate in the development of or provide the analysis of structures to support complex financing transactions for new and existing clients in the TMT industry vertical
  • Underwrites new bank debt transactions according to established policies and guidelines for non-investment grade clients and prospects
  • Manage a portfolio of principally Emerging Technology corporate clients, including periodic reviews and communication of account information across various constituencies throughout the organization
  • Prepare cash flow projections to assess the debt repayment capacity of borrowers
  • Facilitate development of term sheets and review loan documentation and facilitates the closing of transactions
  • Coordinate the deal process with credit partners in CDA (Credit Division of the Americas), relationship managers in GRM (Global Relationship Management), and various product partners
  • Trains and guides the junior members of the team.


  • Bachelor's degree, a CFA is an asset, an MBA and/or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred but not required. CFA designation is a plus
  • 5-7 years of corporate lending experience, experience in Emerging Technology preferred
  • Strong credit skills and extensive modeling skills
  • Knowledge of standard bank products including loans, letters of credit, derivatives, foreign exchange, securitization and leasing
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with senior credit officers, business partners, and clients.
  • Completion of formal credit training program is a decisive asset

The typical base range for this role is between $140K- $170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
