Movoto Real Estate is a well-funded startup with a new full-service online brokerage that has already enabled millions of people to buy and sell their homes by connecting them to the best real estate agents in the business. Our primary focus is on customer success and our business model ensures that we only succeed when our customers do. As we extend our business, we are looking for a Business Operations Lead to implement and manage innovative processes that support our Payment Operations team.

This is an Exempt - Full Time position based in our San Mateo, CA office.

The Role: 

As a Business Operations Lead at Movoto, you will be a key player in helping us:

Achieve our company-wide revenue targets by leading a 6-person operation team. In order to achieve the target, you will be working to define your team strategy with our Head of Business Development and Finance. The Business Operations Lead will also have the flexibility to grow and develop our current process and implement them with the team. This role will be a key aspect in managing our client lifecycle and ensuring the growth of the Movoto business model.


  • Weekly call reviews and feedback sessions with the remote team (6 people)
  • Daily review of escalated transactions to prevent team roadblocks
  • Assign transactions to the payment operations team to pursue
  • Identify and implement process changes to improve team efficiency
  • Working cross-functionally with different departments (ex: analytics, product, operations)
  • Revenue reporting to stakeholders on a weekly basis


  • At least one year of prior experience leading direct reports
  • Strong data analysis skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, forecasting)
  • Ability to prioritize well, while juggling multiple tasks at once
  • Experience training and coaching employees while implementing changes
  • Comfortable collaborating with key company stakeholders
  • BA/BS degree
  • Excellent relationship builder who engenders trust and rapport with payments team
  • Must have exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Infectious enthusiasm, excellent business judgment, and excellent phone demeanor
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and Salesforce
  • Real estate industry experience is a plus
