Position Summary
Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly skilled UAT Analyst with expertise in functional business analysis to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in understanding business requirements, defining and validating primary use cases, and ensuring comprehensive testing to enhance the end-user experience. This position will report to a Lead of Wealth Management Platforms.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Functional Business Analysis:

  • Define and validate primary use cases to ensure they meet business needs and user expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements End to End, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Document functional specifications and business rules for stakeholders.


Testing:
  • Develop comprehensive test scenarios with a focus on the end-user experience, conducting functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Open and maintain test accounts; support production checkouts and be flexible with working hours, including coordination with teams in other regions and during release weekends.
  • Acquire knowledge of platforms, applications, and peripheral systems to become a subject matter expert in these areas.
  • Work effectively in an Agile Squad with stakeholders from Technology and Platforms teams; liaise with the Technology QA Team to ensure efficient coverage.
  • Assist in refining acceptance criteria to ensure completeness and comprehensiveness.

Status Reporting and Ceremony Participation:
  • Participate in and contribute to Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and refinement sessions.
  • Provide testing status updates to Squad and UAT Leads, escalate risks and issues, and manage defects.


Supporting and Planning:
  • Create test plans, test cases, and scripts; conduct testing of negative scenarios to ensure systems meet standards and end-user requirements.
  • Serve as a proxy to Product Owners and Business Analysts to support testing, including the review, prioritization, and management of defects.
  • Build a thorough understanding of the WMP business contexts, including systems, processes, and end-users.
  • Proactively reflect on work accomplished, identify current and potential blockers, and plan next steps. Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in UAT, preferably in Wealth Management, Financial Services, Banking or Technology organizations.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders across different regions.


Skills Required:
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities.
  • Excellent active listening, research/investigative, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and proactiveness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, delivery practices, and reporting.
  • Application and/or software testing experience.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with tools/techniques/processes such as Playwright, RestAssured, Junit, Agile, BDD, Jira, ALM, TeamCity, and traditional SDLC.
  • Experience in SQL scripting.
  • Experience in DocuSign
  • Proficiency in test script automation.
