Department Overview:
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada Business Enablement Team is a high performing team providing client service support to our Full-Service Financial Advisor channels and operating in a hybrid model of in-office (4 days per week) and remote working.
Position Summary:
The analyst / unlicensed client service associate will support the scaling of the Canadian business at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada by providing an elevated service experience to internal (Advisors and their Teams) and external clients in the full-service channel. The CSA assists with the development and growth of business through engaging and utilizing the full capabilities of the firm. This is a key role that requires an understanding of business analytics and reporting, cross functional team support, client onboarding, firm policies, procedures, and firm capabilities to deliver the full firm to clients.
Responsibilities:
Client Onboarding Service and Support:
- Cultivate and enhance new and existing relationships through active communication with internal MSWC teams to process requests, resolve inquiries, and preparation of reports and materials for meetings.
- Assist with client onboarding, including new account opening, account package preparation, and all administrative support utilizing all applicable MSWC tools (outlook, workflow, salesforce, Teams, etc.) the suite of Modern Wealth Management Tools.
- Provide all transition and administrative support for onboarding all FA recruits, teams, and clients.
- Maintain ongoing communication with cross functional teams and MSWC leadership team (i.e Business Enablement, Branch Management, Supervision, Compliance, etc.) to ensure a smooth client experience.
- Assist in client due diligence to provide proactive problem solving and resolutions.
- Provide cross channel client administrative support when required.
- Provide backup support to other support professionals on the business enablement team or other cross functional teams.
Business Analytics:
- Provide administrative support and issue resolution for items related to Advisor Compensation when required. (i.e. Referrals, BDA, Guardianship, AFG election, Team Eligibility, etc.)
- Continued evolution of detailed SOP's and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes.
- Support the reconciliation and delivery of key metrics reporting, including reports, dashboards, digital tools, and presentations. Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
- Support the development of clear and concise business requirement documents, functional specifications, and process maps.
Other:
- Actively engage in available training and education programs - including firm strategic priorities, professional development and staying current on policies, procedures and new platforms and attend scheduled targeted/monthly field service professional and/or training calls.
- Perform additional administrative duties that support Financial Advisors in daily business practices a determined by the centralized support model developed by the Business Enablement Team.
- Proactively participate in firm initiatives directed by local management.
Education and/or Experience:
- 6 months to 2.3 years of Financial Services Experience - ideally with Full-Service Wealth Advisors and Clients
- University degree or College diploma preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong industry, product, and wealth management procedures knowledge.
- Strategic and analytical mindset.
- Exceptional writing, interpersonal and client service skills.
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of tools, Dataphile, Salesforce, SharePoint and Teams
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Enjoys wearing many hats, rolling up sleeves and getting things done.
- Self-motivated / self-starter with excellent work ethic, and a high degree of professionalism and accountability.
- Creative problem solver with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with short deadlines.
