Document Clerk

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with almost 4000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is seeking a Document Clerk for our Patent Support (PATSU) Services Department of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. This position will reside in the San Francisco office.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support for the Patent Practice Group, including:

  • Maintain and organize file storage ensuring accuracy; transfer outdated and inactive files to storage
  • Assemble documents
  • Manage the electronic database
  • Process new case files
  • Draft correspondence
  • Prepare document and mail shipments
  • Processes file requests including locating missing files or materials
  • Handling special projects as needed
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • The successful candidate must also have excellent computer and word processing skills including proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Experience using legal document management systems (such as FileSite) and/or invoice processing software (such as ChromeRiver) a plus
  • The candidate must also possess highly developed organizational and time management skills, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • This individual will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and a teamwork approach to assignments
  • Ability to work overtime is required
