Join the Digital Workplace Services Desktop Engineering Team and you'll work at the highest systems level to provide expert advice and counsel to users, management, and IT project teams across various systems of the most sophisticated nature. You will evaluate new technologies, develop departmental standard practices, and be required to demonstrate leadership to technical and non-technical associates. You will identify or react to problems related to the end user technology infrastructure and use your broad knowledge level across multiple areas of strategic and enterprise-wide information technology.

The Engineering manager will manage a technical team of engineers responsible for implementing, managing and continuously improving digital workplace technologies. You will help drive the team to automate or eliminate repeatable tasks and reduce administrative overhead for themselves and workplace operations, including configuration variations, performance issues on endpoint devices and security vulnerabilities. The Endpoint Engineering manager will partner in digital workplace technology roadmaps and lifecycle and fosters a strong relationship with technology vendors, IT security and legal or compliance teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define, implement, manage and continuously improve digital workplace technologies.
  • Managerial responsibilities include hiring, managing, coaching and developing direct reports.
  • Manage and govern associated vendors and service providers.
  • Establish digital workplace technology roadmaps, engineering strategy and operating standards.
  • Identify, monitor, publish and manage goals and measurements to show improvements to digital workplace technology.
  • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.
  • Oversee endpoint management and vulnerability remediation to ensure security and availability, while minimizing the potential impact on employee experience.
  • Advocate for secure computing practices and procedures and communicate best practices throughout the company.
  • Ensure that documentation and training is in place for workplace operations team acceptance.
  • Support resolution of high-priority outages, troubleshooting efforts, and capacity/availability planning sessions.
  • Support digital workplace technology projects and planning.
  • Advocate for advanced analytics and automation to streamline efficiencies.
  • Work closely with operations, governance and enablement partners to drive coordination and collaboration throughout the digital workplace program.
  • Collaborate closely with security, identity and networking leaders to ensure a secure seamless delivery of digital workplace technologies.
  • Creates a vision that connects engineering strategies to the big picture and sets action plans accordingly.
  • Work with our cyber security team to ensure system configurations are in compliance with security policies and controls standards.
  • Perform periodic infrastructure applications assessments and documentation review as part of our application governance.
  • The candidate is expected to be able to attend meetings in different time zones and with offshore partner resources.

Qualifications :
  • Experience leading enterprise IT deployment projects.
  • Experience building technology roadmaps and aligning with enterprise architecture.
  • Strong understanding of digital workplace technologies (hardware, software, services and SaaS tools).
  • Strong understanding of adjacent technologies (identity, security, endpoint management, vulnerability management, asset management, IT service management, analytics, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of managing digital workplace tools and configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, desktop virtualization, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services.
  • Awareness of modern management techniques and concepts.
  • Experience implementing continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity.
  • Solid understanding and experience in Workplace Engineering technologies (Azure, AVD, Intune, Jamf Pro, Autopilot, PowerBI).
  • Automation skills are a great to have, PowerShell, Python, and Bash are preferred. Other programming languages are a plus.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant area of study.
  • 3+ years in IT leadership with experience managing technical teams and vendors.
  • 8+ years of technical experience implementing, managing and supporting digital workplace technologies.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is 119,200 to 172,900, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody's also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
