Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for efficiently operating the weaving loom including checking the face for quality defects, correcting defects, threading yarn, replacing yarn which may have run out from the creel, etc.
  • Responsible for repairing minor weaving machine malfunctions and blowing out the machine.
  • Responsible for performing this job in a quality and productive manner.
  • Expected to maintain all housekeeping items and follow all housekeeping procedures associated with the position.
  • Responsible for lifting or moving heavy objects.
  • Expected to follow all safety procedures for the job duties assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-6 months prior experience as a weaver
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to read and write in basic Standard English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, stoop, and reach overhead for duration of shift
  • Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds repetitively throughout shift
  • Must be able to work in a very tight spaces
