Coordinates, directs and leads PM maintenance team in performing predictive and preventive maintenance tasks during operating and shut down conditions, including plant wide machine problem analysis and spare parts analysis, to minimize unplanned downtime due to machine failure.

  • Ensures compliance with all company safety rules and procedures
  • Understands and applies industrial mechanical principals and concepts
  • Identifies warning signs of impending equipment failure of production equipment and corrects before failure
  • Creates a culture of accountability and communication within the maintenance department concerning all reliability areas
  • Develops, implements, and sustains equipment (line) specific preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Uses experience to identify preventative maintenance improvements to increase PM effectiveness and efficiency
  • Repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical production equipment
  • Coordinates hand off of equipment to production within allowed PM timeline and ensures machine line is in running state
  • May work with other departments for preventative maintenance and/or project needs
  • Schedules, supervises, and assists other workers in the preventive and predictive maintenance department
  • Uses experience and creativity to fix or repair machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime
  • Able to provide a common sense approach to preventive maintenance tasks and procedures
  • Interacts with line owners, operations leadership and other members of production team
  • Be willing to work at heights and climb if needed
  • Performs other related duties as required


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hydraulics and/or pneumatic training
  • 5+ years extensive experience in maintenance of a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Above average math skills
  • Basic understanding of PLC’s and VFD’s
  • Ability to work with automation, production, and computer systems
  • Welding skills, certification preferred
  • Fabrication and modification of machines, Machinist experience preferred
  • Experience with piping, pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings, and the installation and maintenance of those devices
  • Capable of reading electrical diagrams
  • Understanding of basic high/low level voltage
  • Preventive maintenance on highly automated machinery (packaging machinery, handling equipment, etc.)
  • Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes and extreme temperatures.
  • Other working conditions may include working long hours and flexible shifts, including holidays
  • Required safety equipment: steel toed shoes, ear plugs, gloves, and safety glasses
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.; bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required
