Secure supply of wires from the supply room or plant service department.
As required, remove pile wires from crate and wipe off oil.
Inspect, separate, straighten, and clean all pile wires and place into bundles of 50. Buff pile wires as necessary.
Collect and separate long and short pile wires (loop pile) and place in bundles of 50; follow the same procedures for cut pile wires. Place in proper bins.
As directed, gather material for grade change and place at loom.
Keep an accurate count of damaged pile wires and report to crew/ shift leader daily.
Maintain a daily inventory of all pile wires by size.
Gather damaged pile wires from looms daily and update inventory.
Operate card cutting machine to duplicate existing cards as directed by crew/ shift leader.
Store cards and pile wires in proper location as required.
Inspect, straighten, separate, clean and store pile wires.
Gather necessary material and place at loom for grade change.
Remove material from previous grade woven and return to designated locations.
Operate cutting machine to produce jacquard cards.
The right applicant for this position will be able to work well with their hands for long periods of time.
Experience with soldering is a plus so please consider that when filling out your application.
Will need to have good dexterity, good hand/eye coordination, and a sense of urgency.
