Engineering Co-op/Internship

Overview

Gain valuable, hands on experience with the leading global flooring manufacturer. This is an excellent opporutnity for an individual who is currently pursuing a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. 

Responsibilities

Expected to learn and understand process of the plant while using knowledge from school to help our team with current projects and issues.  At the same time to understand safety first, preserve top quality, and perform engineering tasks assigned by management and fellow engineers.

 

Assist Engineering Manager and staff with projects in various areas, including Coating, Cutting, Sewing, Dyeing, & Shipping.  For each project there are many roles that will be delegated out but the Co-op will understand and learn each step. Before any project will be delegated certain areas of manufacturing must be learned such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, and the importance of Maintenance & Engineering.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Analytical thinking, communication skills, Problem Solving, and innovation
  • Computer Skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Word.  Basic Engineering/Math Skills.
