Digital Inkjet Technician (SVL1)

Overview

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical, electronics, communication, analyzing error message, and error simulation
  • Understand and maintain ink pressure systems (meniscus, purge, printer)
  • Troubleshoot and maintain complex pneumatic systems
  • Mechanical dexterity and advance proficiency with tools
  • Disassemble and properly reassemble complex and precise mechanical assemblies (relating to printer quality)
  • Strong proficiency with PC operating systems – Windows & MAC, and Linux based systems
  • Understand all aspects of the printer workflow – color balance, droplet size, load and print images, modify images utilizing Photoshop software
  • Troubleshoot, change, and align print heads
  • Identify and correct common digital printer quality defects
  • Maintain inkjet printer machines and accordingly update service records
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing engineering solutions that optimize all phases of the production process
  • Analyze production and material failures to ensure corrective and preventive actions are developed that improve safety, quality and production reflecting best practices
  • Help to maintain a safe, healthy and organized working environment for all areas
  • Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to
  • Follow the Quality Management System
  • Maintain proper shutdown, startup, and operational procedures
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

    • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent. (Candidates pursuing higher degrees are encouraged)

    • Present and interpret technical information clearly  

    • Maintain a high attention to detail  

    • Planning and organizing multiple jobs  

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 

    • Experience with different types of communication – Fiber Optic, Ethernet,   and Serial  

    • Ability to write and modify Omron PLC programs  

    • Identify issues, problems and opportunities while maintaining effectiveness in changing environment.
