Product Manager

About this role:

As a product manager at MM.LaFleur, you will serve as the primary liaison between the engineering team and the business stakeholders in all parts of the company, including marketing, creative, customer experience, and operations. In this role, you will be involved in high-level planning and strategy discussion as well as the project management and execution that helps take an idea from conception to completion. You will be responsible for tech products that range from back-end systems that impact the entire organization to website features that shape the shopping experience for our customers.

What you will do:

  • Own the strategy and execution for a variety of products, including internal systems (e.g., business intelligence tools, customer relationship management tool) and customer-facing digital features (e.g., new collection page layout, live chat)

  • Develop a project plan for new products and features, write out the specs and define scope, determine a timeline for testing and implementation, and analyze progress and results

  • Identify key stakeholders, gather and discuss their inputs and objectives; use inputs to prioritize products and features and update the tech pipeline accordingly

  • Know when to build vs. buy

  • Balance multiple—and often conflicting—viewpoints and sources of information to define, implement, and iterate on strategy and product

What you should bring to the table:

  • 6+ years of work experience in a product management role at a tech or tech-enabled company; additional experience in business strategy (e.g., operations, management consulting) or retail/e-commerce a plus

  • Knowledge of modern software engineering concepts (e.g., API integrations, frameworks, systems architecture, open source)

  • Knowledge of basic UX best practices; an eye for good design

  • Significant experience working with issue trackers (e.g., JIRA, Pivotal Tracker) and Agile development required, experience working with Asana a plus

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a strategic thinker

  • Strong communication skills; experience motivating and collaborating with coworkers from different departments (e.g., engineers, designers, customer experience analysts, etc.); ability to manage expectations and mediate competing interests

  • Passion for MM.LaFleur's product mission to take the 'work' out of dressing for work
