Licensing Coordinator, Hard Goods

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide input on development of category strategies
  • Assist in development of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Identify new licensing opportunities; prepare and present partnership proposals to supervisors and potential licensees
  • Support research activities and assist in recommendations of new trends, to support existing partnerships
  • Evaluate new license applications and determine applicability to overall departmental strategic licensing plan
  • Maintain various database and spreadsheet files
  • Work with Retail Group to develop programs to maximize retail presence of MLB licensed products, with focus on MLB.com and Club retail
  • Work with Compliance group to track status of all legal documents (contracts, amendments, changes in control, default letters) throughout entire internal and external routing process
  • Work with Compliance group to follow-up with Finance department on licensee advance payments and all other A/R past dues (tickets, co-op, etc.)
  • Support senior members of the Hard Goods Group with above tasks
  • Perform related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Major League Baseball or Club retail, marketing and/or operations experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to meet all deadlines
  • Excellent decision-making and organizational skills
  • Superior interpersonal, written communication and data entry skills
  • Strong technical aptitude including experience working with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Strong baseball acumen
  • Ability to travel
