Supply Manager, Compute and Storage

We're seeking a Supply Manager to lead and optimize our compute and storage server racks supply planning operations within our Infrastructure Team. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics, proficiency in planning/ERP software, excellent data modeling skills, and the ability to develop optimized supply strategies to deliver server racks and commodities in partnership with various internal and external teams. This individual will communicate complex supply commitments effectively across the organization, develop new KPIs, and pioneer cost-reduction opportunities. The ability to act decisively and manage projects in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success. This role presents an opportunity for a technically adept individual to drive strategic supply chain initiatives and significantly impact the performance of our operations while interacting with leadership.

Supply Manager, Compute and Storage Responsibilities:
  • Build a strong partnership with the Demand Planning and Engineering teams to source the demand signal and form a cooperative relationship that benefits our overall demand and supply planning
  • Develop and manage an optimized supply plan to support the demand signal. Work closely with our ODMs to model production capacity and material constraints. Make informed trade-off decisions when operating in limited resource environments to source a reliable supply plan
  • Effectively communicate the supply plan and its commitments across the organization, including up to the leadership level and across various cross-functional teams, ensuring a clear understanding of supply commitments and potential implications
  • Work side-by-side with the Commodity Planning team to optimize inventory levels. Understand current inventory positions, forecasting needs, and partner to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Utilize Oracle Planning tools to manage supply chain processes. Collaborate with our Enterprise Products team to continually enhance our automation efforts, optimizing efficiency and accuracy in our supply chain operations.
  • Partner with the Operations team to proactively identify risk areas within our supply chain. Propose innovative solutions and collaborate on implementation to solve operational issues and maintain a robust supply chain
  • Lead the development of new KPIs and zero-touch automated reports to drive business decisions, highlight performance, and identify risks, allowing for proactive action and decision-making
  • Work with cross-functional partners to identify cost reduction opportunities. This includes strategies such as excess & obsolescence reduction, NPI to mass production seamless transitions, improving communication efficiency, holding statistically planned safety stock, and overall building inventory optimization techniques at the rack and commodity level
  • Drive the IBP/S&OP cycle, ensuring that it aligns with overall business objectives and maintaining a seamless process from start to end
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters degree (or Bachelors plus applicable experience) in business (operations, supply chain, finance, economics) or engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain-related roles. Demand, supply, materials, or inventory planning experience.
  • Proven technical and analytical skills. Experience building dynamic models using Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable (Apps Script, VBA, or Python) and creating data visualizations using Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar software
  • Proven communication skills
  • Proficient using planning or ERP software (Oracle, SAP, o9, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or custom build)
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment while independently managing projects
