As part of the Global Operations Learning Organization, you'll help produce business results by improving the performance of people through learning across Global Operations at Meta. You will work with various cross-functional teams, ensuring that learning strategies and solutions align with business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Meta and/or the digital media industry, experience or expertise in instructional design, development and delivery for scalable solutions, as well as a high degree of creativity, problem solving, and project management skills. You will be entrusted with building and scaling knowledge for Lines of business, like Community Operations. We serve teams at Meta by supporting the on-boarding learning experience of new hires, optimizing training processes based on different learning modalities, and supporting various other learning and performance needs. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a team at Meta, make an impact at a fast-moving company, and strengthen user trust with our platform.The aim of a Learning Manager is to lead a team in partnering with various cross-functional teams and ensure that our learning solutions are innovative, aligned with the needs of our business, and achieve measurable impact. The ideal candidate will be a creative solver of business problems and policy adoption through the lenses of education, have a strong and proven track record of understanding current/emerging trends in the corporate learning space including digital delivery, coaching models and performance support. In this role, you'll be leading a team of learning consultants, learning experience designers and learning delivery partners to understand and deliver on the learning and performance needs of the organization.

Learning Manager - Global Operations Learning Org Responsibilities:

  • Builds, maintains and provides line of business level thought leadership on how to address complex business and performance problems with strategic learning and performance support solutions
  • Accountable for applying GOLO's Vision and Strategies to a Line of Business learning strategy inclusive of onboarding, continuous/change training, performance support and measurement
  • Accountable for the quality of learning and performance support solutions for specific Line of Business
  • Responsible for leading short-term and long-term roadmapping with key stakeholders in order to predict work that will come to GOLO for a specific line of business
  • Leads GOLO level strategic initiatives in support of an assigned line of business
  • Collaborate effectively within the Learning Technology, Learning Operations, and Learning Shared Services teams to achieve all high priority learning initiatives
  • Develop and lead execution of a measurement plan to assess impact and effectiveness of projects in partnership with Learning Evaluation and Analytics experts
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products of team members and vendor partners to ensure the highest quality deliverables, that meet our stakeholders' need, adhere to our learning standards, within approved timelines and budget while collaborating with a variety of stakeholders on execution
  • Lead a team of 4-8 individual contributors and contractors in supporting the learning and performance support needs for a specific line of business, creating an inclusive environment for teammates and stakeholders
  • Ensure quality, effectiveness and accountability to our Meta culture, standards and processes
  • Role may require up to 20% travel (international and domestic)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience doing learning needs analysis and architecting learning solutions for Policy training
  • Experience using data to drive decision-making and recommendations for performance solutions via concise, relevant communications
  • Experience working across a global multicultural and multilingual team
  • Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at various levels across a matrixed, global organization
  • Experience communicating with, influencing, and presenting to a variety of audiences, including global cross-functional leaders
  • 8+ years of experience in a learning & development/training role within an operations setting
  • Experience implementing learning modalities at scale including blended, digital self-paced/eLearning, coaching models, video-based learning, MOOCs and integrated performance support
  • Experience mentoring and coaching both managers and individual contributors
  • Related experience in performing training needs assessments, designing and implementing classroom, digital, and blended learning and performance support solutions
  • Experience working with a global network of outsourcing sites/vendor partners
  • 10+ years of direct people management experience
  • 5+ years of training facilitation experience
  • Proven track record of managing and leading high performing and engaged teams in a constantly changing environment
  • Experience applying learning effectiveness measures to validate that a given solution achieved desired outcomes
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design methodology and learning consulting practices that include needs analysis and skill and performance gap assessment
  • Experience working directly with Operations and/or Customer Support teams and knowledge of the learning challenges faced in these environments
  • 7+ years of Learning and Development experience, including Instructional Design and other related experience
  • Display effective organizational and communication skills while managing multiple complex and competing priorities
  • You may be subjected to objectionable content
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience architecting learning solutions within the tech industry, customer service, risk or operations environments
  • Experience presenting at learning industry conferences
  • Experience working with outsourcing sites/offshore providers
  • Experience delivering learning solutions within the tech industry
  • MBA or Masters in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, I/O Psych, Educational Technology, or related field
  • BA or BS Degree in Business, Instructional Design, or related field
  • 5+ years of consulting experience
  • Performance Thinking ® Six Boxes ® Practitioner or in progress certification
  • 5+ years of program management experience leading large, complex projects and learning solution development
  • Experience with policy-related training materials
  • Experience in instructional design, performance support, and learning effectiveness measurement
  • Experience with designing for the 5 Moments of Need ® or Workflow Learning and Designing Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS)
