Position Description:

This position operates under the guidance of the Associate Director supporting the Discovery, Preclinical and Translational Medicine (DPTM) organization. The Discovery, Preclinical and Translational Medicine (DPTM) organization is responsible for the discovery of novel drugs, conducting preclinical and early-stage clinical experiments with potential drug candidates and advancing our Company's scientific capabilities in relation to drug discovery. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive financial support to Discovery, Preclinical and Translational Medicine (DPTM). The position will assist in the development of financial, strategic and operational plans and will also be relied on for supporting various initiatives and ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide financial planning, forecasting and analytical support to Discovery, Preclinical and Translational Medicine (DPTM) organization.
  • Play a central role in developing the quarterly forecasts and monthly/quarterly close activities.
  • Maintain integrity of financial systems (forecast & actuals) and support development & implementation of system enhancements.
  • Develop and participate in team presentations associated with any financial and/or operational review with client areas being supported.
  • Support project team decision making by providing relevant financial information and insight.
  • Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing supplemental support to one or more activities impacting the broader Discovery, Preclinical and Translational Medicine (DPTM) Finance team.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's in business, Finance, Science or Engineering

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of operations or Finance experience
  • Must have the desire to continuously learn and continue professional development

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Strong financial acumen
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Results and process-driven orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a challenging and complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build and maintain diverse client and peer relationships
  • Sound and balanced judgment, with the ability to assess and handle risk
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong computer skills especially working with SAP, BPC, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Power BI

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:
$97,680.00 - $153,700.00
