Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation. We partner closely with our Company's Research & Development (R&D) organization to provide modern solutions that enable new products and capabilities within R&D.

For this position, we are seeking a Technical Lead resource for our Company's Clinical eco-system to partner with R&D and other orgs to define the roadmap, own and manage the technical solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes system design and provides basis for verification and construction of systems compatible with modern architectures and services, with supporting models and abstractions powering the software lifecycle while adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Develops integrated software systems, processes, and procedures aligned with continuous improvement, organizational standards surrounding security, reporting, observation, and control. Designs, leads, and directs the process, verification, and resolution of incident, recovery, and post-mortem management processes.
  • Develops and designs software system configuration capabilities across heterogenous technology environments, architectures, and platforms.
  • Performs the evaluation, design, and selection of appropriate structured, unstructured, or hybrid data engineering solutions across various physical and digital topologies with consideration to satisfying software requirements with necessary concerns of security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility and portability.
  • Leads, facilitates, and directs the construction, amendment, and verification of software systems, components, and integrations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development. Plans and drives software construction activities.
  • Adopts and adapts appropriate software design/development methods, tools and techniques
  • Measures and monitors applications of project/team standards for software construction, including software security.
  • Contributes to the development of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for software design/development.
  • Specifies and designs large or complex software applications, components and modules.
  • Undertakes impact analysis on major design options, makes recommendations and assesses and manages associated risks. Specifies prototypes/simulations to enable informed decision-making.
  • Evaluates software designs to ensure adherence to standards and identifies corrective action. Ensures that the software design balances functional, quality, security and systems management requirements.
  • Works closely with Product Manager(s), Product Line Lead(s), Solution Architect(s) and other Technical Lead(s) in creating, prioritizing and executing against product backlog and for ensuring that quality solutions are designed and delivered to realize business value

Prerequisites:

  • 6+ years in Information Technology
  • 3+ years in designing and engineering of software
  • 3+ years in Clinical Trial software experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work within a squad and across multiple squads when needed
  • Understanding of software design and development quality standards
  • Expertise with Jenkins & Bitbucket
  • Expertise with JIRA & Confluence
  • Expertise with Webservices, API development & ETL technologies
  • Proficient in developing, debugging and tuning Oracle Stored procedures and SQL scripts
  • Expertise with Cloud services like AWS & Azure

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • AWS/Azure Certified
  • Experience with Veeva eTMF
  • Experience with Python, ReactJS Development
  • Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, leading teams through influence
  • Great organization skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Experience working with SaaS vendors

Minimum Education:

  • B.A./B.S.
