Test Technician 3 – Emissions & EPA Liaison

Job Introduction:

Perform requested testing per defined procedures. Maintain test equipment. Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to colleagues.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicles for testing and prepare vehicles after completion of testing to be returned
  • Perform testing and/or calibrations per defined procedures. Store data from results
  • Maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles as needed
  • Participate in new equipment, software and internal/ external training
  • Maintain customer program support
  • Maintain facility
  • Support general Tech Center operations

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree- Trade School and/or current equivalent automotive work experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of electronic, electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems, tools and/or equipment
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of automotive diagnostic and repair work and/ or analytical laboratory experience
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • The ability to learn and understand new concepts and applications
  • PC literacy in Windows based programs
  • Basic emission knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive testing environment
  • Willingness to travel
