Role Overview:

  • This individual’s primary responsibility will be to engage with potential new customers, partners, and external vendors and will coordinate ongoing projects as a whole, including all operational aspects. Further this role should be responsible for methodologically moderating the partnership activities, e.g. design thinking approach.
  • Provide project management throughout the entire development process (idea generation, idea evaluation, idea implementation, agency coordination)
  • Manage the development of a competence center by integrating design thinking and scrum methods with the target to innovate from inside-out
  • Analyze, prioritize and enhance further development of new ideas within the business concepts
  • Work with Daimler’s executive leadership to drive key business insights, scalable pilots, and detailed business plans
  • Develop a deep understanding of both the engineering as well as business aspects of each project by running a daily sync up to synchronize project efforts
  • Build strong relationships with potential customers as well as senior management across the business and engineering organizations

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Business/ Management
  • Minimum work experience : 1-3 years
  • Must possess project management experience while still being flexible and scrappy when need be due to time constraints. Prior successes with concept/business development either with a startup, corporate, or own business.
  • Must be able to think creatively, work in a casual and dynamic team environment, and have fun.
  • Be comfortable in interfacing all levels of management. Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives.

  • German (fluency) is a plus
  • Open-minded, creative individual with a high level of energy and enthusiasm, with a startup mentality.
  • Strong skills in business development, scaling programs, and knowing tech speak is a must.
  • Have a good network within Silicon Valley & the automotive industry and the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles. Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-functional experience working with a design agency to implement new innovation within the automotive industry.
  • Expertise in communicating and convincing executive leadership.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and work well.
