Child and Family Access Clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position serves as a member of the Child & Family Access Team, providing triage and screening of incoming requests for services, hospital discharge coordination, as well as support and coordination of Children's Mental Health Treatment Act (CMHTA) referrals. The approach of the team is characterized by being strengths-based, family-centered, culturally proficient and community responsive.
SALARY RANGE: $22.81/hr. – $39.36/hr. Depending on Licensure
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage, triage, and provide clinical screening of incoming referrals
- Conduct face-to-face behavioral health assessments and initial assessments both within office and community settings
- Collaborate with family members, collateral professionals, and other external partners regarding referrals
- Provide oversight and direct support for CMHTA referrals following State guidelines
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards
- Participate in team meetings, trainings and supervisory sessions as required
- Work effectively and collaboratively with all teams within the child and family department along with broader agency partners
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Master's Degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, or other human service field. Licensed as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in Colorado.
EXPERIENCE: At least two years of experience in mental health or human services field. Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic assessment and crisis intervention.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong analytical skills and ability to utilize analysis, experience, and sound clinical judgment to arrive at informed decisions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate and familiarity and experience with EHR systems
- Knowledge of Denver community and available resources.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and diagnostic assessment (DSM-5)
- Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care practices
- The ability to focus on strengths and wellbeing
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Maintain flexible schedule. Frequent evening and weekend responsibilities.
