The Medidata Product Management team is looking for a smart, talented and very driven Data Analyst to be an integral part in the development of the new generation of Clinical Trial Management Systems that will simplify the operations and management of clinical trials, so that we can help to reduce the cost and accelerate the speed to market for key treatments with the aim of reaching more patients in need and faster than ever before.

The Data Analyst (Business Intelligence Analyst) will interface with industry experts, product managers, engineers, sales and marketing teams to collect, store, consolidate and present data on sales numbers, market research, usage and other customer and user behaviours within a range of Medidata's CTMS offering. The product is built primarily for external users and also integrates with other Medidata offerings to meet oversight and monitoring of the end to end activities in any clinical trial.

Your commitments:

  • Improve and maintain our product analytics by creating automated dashboards and periodic reports to support and inform key business stakeholders.
  • Extract sales, market research and usage data from multiple systems and then consolidate, process, design and present the information in ways to help people and organisation to make better decisions.
  • Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct problems with the tools.
  • Design, perform analysis and run experiments to ensure the quality, accuracy, meaning and consolidation of the data used to create the dashboard and reports.
  • Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
  • Working with engineering and business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modification as appropriate.

Your Competencies:

  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to create structure from ambiguous situations
  • Ability to network and navigate within the organization to find the people with the information / answers you need
  • Ability to analyse existing tools, databases and data sets, and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, quantitative, and critical thinking abilities to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive product decisions.
  • Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in an agile development environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great attention to detail

Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (in a quantitative or business discipline, e.g. business administration, management information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field)
  • Experience in cleaning, preparing, analysing and visualizing data (automatic generation of dashboards and reports) is essential
  • Experience in Salesforce, Gainsight, Pendo, Tableau and SQL is highly desirable
  • Experience managing complex processes involving many stakeholders and competing priorities
