Your Mission: 

This position will develop specific product marketing plans and activities for the Medidata Rave Clinical Cloud (platform) and its associated tools including the Medidata Enterprise Data Store (MEDS), Cloud Administration and APIs to establish, enhance and distinguish Medidata's unified platform in product placement within the competitive clinical trials arena. This high-profile job is also responsible for leading the development of all value propositions and support collateral that focus on the value and differentiation of Medidata’s end to end clinical study solutions working on a unified platform. This entails collaborating with the Data Capture and Management (Study Conduct) and the Clinical Operations Product Marketers and MEDS product development team to incorporate these platform value messages into the product level as well. Key deliverables include Platform Fact Sheets, Infographics,Customer-facing slides, Case Studies, Videos, Webinars, and Sales Plays and all other related content for the Medidata website

This position works with the product development team, product marketers and corporate, global and demand marketing and sales enablement to develop and communicate go to market plans and product positioning in the marketplace that highlight the value of our platform and the Medidata products on it to multiple customer segments (Pharmaceutical and Biotech Companies, and CROs) and personas, including C-suite personnel. As much as possible, this messaging should be evidence-based, i.e., working with internal value team members to prove the value of the Medidata Rave Clinical Cloud. This position also works with the Competitive Intelligence Team to monitor competitive activity and to identify customer needs and works with product management and customer-facing personnel to enhance existing products.

Applicant should be a highly experienced product marketing professional with significant experience in the clinical trial area, who is able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. The applicant should have strong communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Applicant should demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and be able to network with senior internal and external personnel in the marketing and technology/clinical trial space.  

Your Competencies:

  • Candidate should be a highly productive, self-starter able to produce high quality, targeted sales collateral and other related outputs on time.
  • Candidate needs excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding project management expertise and the ability to effectively work across a matrixed organization
  • Candidate should be a team player able to effectively work with a wide range of both internal personnel and outside vendors, from technical functional experts (e.g., programmers, product managers) to creative (e.g., writers, ad agencies)

Your Education & Experience:

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of related experience in healthcare and specifically drug development/clinical trials, preferably in imaging and medical devices
  • Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years of similar experience and a Master’s degree.
  • Position reports to VP, Product Marketing
