Senior Creative Editor / Writer

The Role - Medallia is seeking a Senior Creative Writer / Editor. We’re looking for a professional who is not only technically proficient in copywriting and editing, but also with a strong sense for storytelling. This person will be the guiding creative voice for the Medallia brand. The ideal candidate would provide direction to the brand voice & tone and be the principal writer for major brand initiatives. They would also manage and guide freelance writers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage Medallia brand voice & tone attributes and guidelines
  • Actively engage in all aspects of the writing process with close attention to detail—including research, writing, and editing
  • Write and edit diverse communications (Web, email, scripts, brochures, leadership remarks, etc.) that differentiates Medallia
  • Adapt the Medallia brand voice to various communication channels and audiences
  • Translate complex product information into clear, vibrant lay language
  • Identify, develop, and execute on creative and strategic initiatives to cultivate and increase brand loyalty
  • Manage freelance writers

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a writer / editor in a creative production role
  • 2+ years of experience in multi-channel tactics
  • Exceptionally strong storytelling skills with ability to write strong headlines as well as longer form prose like scripts and blog posts
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive familiarity with SEO and Google Analytics, with ability to track performance and make decisions based on analytical analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines
  • You are unfazed by tight deadlines and conflicting priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • Positive, take-charge demeanor in fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an editor at a notable publication or high-volume website covering news and/or culture
  • Basic understanding of lead generation and digital marketing
