Marketing Operations Director

Medallia is seeking a proven B2B marketing operations leader to create and implement a marketing systems and operational strategy that meets the business’ growth objectives. You will work with key stakeholders including field sales operations and sales development leadership to build strong, collaborative and trusted relationships. As a leader you will review and make recommendations to current MarTech infrastructure and connectivity between data and systems. You will provide a systematic solution for analytics and tracking to demonstrate marketing attribution and investment optimization.

Medallia is looking for someone who has proven analytical and strategic experience and who is able to create and implement creative solutions to solve operational challenges. This is a global role and you will regularly collaborate across the marketing organization(both US and international) with content, creative, product marketing, demand generation teams (and more!) to align online activity with broader marketing initiatives.


  • Understand and be able to communicate to an executive level both the strategic and operational understanding of the MarTech stack and the interactions between data sources and process flows
  • Align with Inside Sales leadership to maintain and optimize our inbound lead management process
  • Design and implement a segmentation strategy for marketing campaigns and communications
  • Provide recommendations and governance for email communications including policy and regulatory compliance
  • Segment and leverage the marketing database for greater campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Optimize lead scoring and distribution framework to ensure quality leads are passed to sales development for qualification to increase conversion rates
  • Create and implement a standard, agreed best practices to maintain data hygiene and database cleanliness
  • Work closely with Field Sales Operations and the Inside Sales Leadership to ensure the current CRM is aligned to marketing and sales processes
  • Provide exemplary service to internal stakeholders across the business

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, Technology or Math orientation or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B or Tech marketing, enterprise experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical acumen and background - previous experience with complex projects including data mining, data warehousing and business analytics.
  • Advanced use of Marketo automation tool and, including APEX triggers and advanced Marketo functionality
  • Familiarity and experience with designing and implementing enterprise grade lead routing processes
  • Ability to translate core technical concepts into business driven outcomes for Medallia executives
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Proven track record in writing and delivering marketing strategy for a dynamic and fast paced enterprise
  • Previous experience working within a highly driven technology marketing department with an understanding of B2B buying processes
  • Proven experience at leading and growing high performance teams
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and optimize marketing investment and campaign effectiveness
