Insights Analyst - Pathforward Returnship

Medallia’s mission is simple: to create a world where companies are loved by customers and employees alike. Hundreds of the world’s best-loved brands trust Medallia’s Software-as-a-Service application to help them capture customer feedback everywhere the customer is (on the phone, in store, online, mobile), understand it in real-time, and deliver insights and action everywhere—from the C-suite to the frontline—to improve their performance. Founded in 2001, Medallia is growing quickly with more than 1000 employees globally in Silicon Valley, New York, London, Paris, Sydney, Buenos Aires, and Tel Aviv.

The Path Forward Return to Work program at Medallia is a 16- week paid internship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply.

At Medallia, we are excited to be part of the Path Forward program because we appreciate the skills you can offer, the perspective you provide, and the contributions you will make. This program offers you a chance to revamp your skills, update your resume with new experience, and make connections with other women and men transitioning back to the workforce. It also offers support through Path Forward, a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower people who’ve been focused on caregiving transition back to the paid workforce.

The Role

  • As an Insights Analyst you will work with senior decision makers at admired brands on a mission critical task—helping companies improve in the eyes of their ultimate judges: customers.
  • You’ll tackle real business problems by analyzing operational, customer and financial data, alongside some of the world’s largest customer feedback datasets. • In your first 3 months, you’ll help deliver the results of your first consulting engagement to a Fortune 500 company.
  • You’ll work with one of our Managers or Senior Managers to uncover actionable and commercially focused insights. You’ll then deliver recommendations to senior decision-makers at our clients. Each of your projects will also have an Advisor who will help provide new perspectives and direction for your project team.
  • In the beginning, you’ll be exposed to a different industries, colleagues and type of consulting engagements every 4-6 weeks. Over time, we’ll help you uncover your specific passions through targeted opportunities and then help you develop in those areas -- this could be anything from developing new consulting offerings through deeper analytics, scaling our team’s learnings into Medallia’s product, learning how to commercially sell professional services to writing thought leadership articles with the help of our Marketing team. We call this helping you pursue your career dream!

Development & Training: Enabling your Career Dreams

  • Our full team will enable your development: largely through on-project training, but also via ad hoc trainings on analytics, presentation skills, client and project management skills -- depending on your unique development needs.
  • You will also be part a team that provides each other with regular, real-time and feedback to help us improve ourselves.
