Customer Marketing Manager

The Role

  • Develop customer marketing strategies with a focus on the SMB segment and priority industry verticals to drive up-sell/cross-sell and deepen customer relationships
  • You will also be responsible for creating and implementing a customer reference program and develop customer references for case studies, events, and PR
  • You will enable the marketing team to produce content from successful companies that showcase their success and help them shine, supporting overall Marketing objectives
  • Medallia is looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and proven at building and maintaining personal relationships with our customers who comprise the best loved brands in retail, hospitality, B2B, financial services, insurance and more
  • You will be a creative storyteller with a passion for language, editing and writing, uncovering the most memorable and compelling stories
  • You will build and maintain a database to streamline processes across the marketing team for sourcing customer references
  • You'll regularly collaborate across the organization (both US and international) with content, creative, product marketing, field marketing teams (and more!) to align online activity with broader campaign initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer content development and ensure message alignment and strategy
  • Own the entire case study development process, with support from agencies as needed
  • Show an appreciation for content design tailored to distribution channels
  • Work directly with customers on behalf of marketing team to develop a process for a variety of requests
  • Develop the best possible Medallia brand advocates and community of users

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in customer or customer marketing in a B2B context
  • Strong messaging, content development and writing skillsStrong analytical skills to measure and optimize programs
  • Software / SaaS experience required
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com is recommended
  • Enterprise experience is preferred
  • Proven track record in both brand-building and customer programs to support a growing company
  • Working in or with a high technology marketing department with an understanding of B2B buying processes
