Solution Leader - Mosaic
- Bachelor's degree with an excellent academic record; Advanced degree is a plus
- 10+ years of experience, with 5+ years of leadership experience; M&A experience is a plus
- Experience in a consulting environment
- Experience setting up new ventures; in growing a professional service is a plus
- Ability to articulate meaningful and measurable business impact from analytical tools and data
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a keen interest and drive in developing an economically viable professional entity that can grow in the market
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Flexibility to travel regionally and globally is required
Who You'll Work With
You will lead our Mosaic team and be based in either New York, Boston, Chicago or San Francisco/Silicon Valley. Mosaic is a part of McKinsey's New Ventures and McKinsey Solutions.
Mosaic is an interactive digital solution designed to help clients navigate merger management with confidence. You will be responsible for building both Mosaic, managing the team, the P&L and client relationships globally. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in M&A and is passionate about building a global digital or analytics business and positioning it to scale for sustained growth.

What You'll Do
You will play a pivotal role that requires a passion for M&A and analytical content with the managerial capacity to deliver services with real client impact.
You will oversee all activities related to the development and delivery of the Solution services to clients and will work closely with the Solution Board to advance the strategic aims of the Solution. You will have the opportunity to provide leadership and management to the Mosaic team and drive the effectiveness. You will be responsible for designing and developing the operational strategy to enable automation, scaleability and expansion across geographies, industries and functions. You will also manage the P&L for Mosaic.
As Solution Leader you will have several essential responsibilities – solution delivery, client development and product management. You will oversee delivery of survey offerings, a benchmark report and recommendations, in collaboration with the Mosaic team and Client Service Teams. You will grow the team by sourcing required delivery resources from internal teams and/or external partners and will oversee proposal and project planning and execution, progress tracking, and client billing.
You will be responsible for educating and evangelizing Mosaic's offerings principally through Client Service Teams in order to increase demand and grow the business. You will also help drive and support direct go-to-market business development efforts. You will help develop Mosaic ecosystem within Digital McKinsey, McKinsey Solutions and more broadly as the Solution evolves. As the Solution Leader you will review activities at clients to identify opportunities and over time you will take on responsibility for direct client development.
You will be instrumental in creating the vision for the next generation of Mosaic. You will also identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define the product vision and strategy (defining roadmap, product positioning and pricing model). You will work with Practice leaders to understand the market demands to ensure the product direction and strategy meets global needs. You will also contribute to service delivery strategy and infrastructure development.
