Solution Delivery Manager - Periscope


  • 13 - 17 years of experience in the field of consulting, business intelligence and/or software deployment with consumer sector experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or MIS (MBA is a plus)
  • Proven track record of running large programs with multiple implementations and/or solution deployments (in Marketing & Sales a major plus) in both waterfall/agile environments
  • Experience overseeing the work of multiple project managers and tracking their projects' key performance indicators (e.g. budgets, progress against time-lines, team health)
  • Adept at managing key stakeholders (Client & Internal) and able to drive change in the organization
  • Entrepreneurial and collaborative nature working across different continents/time-zones

You will join M&S Ventures, a McKinsey Solution and part of New Ventures, in our office in New Jersey/Dallas/Atlanta/Chicago.

What You'll Do

You will work closely with M&S Ventures Client Service leadership in the Americas as well as McKinsey consultants to shape and successfully drive the delivery of a portfolio of projects from end to end.

You'll leverage M&S Ventures, McKinsey Solutions Office (MSO) and firm assets to serve clients and create sustainable impact. As a senior leader,you'll do so by shaping and delivering a portfolio of projects across different stages of their life-cycle. This will involve working very closely with and overseeing the work of Project Managers tasked with bridging client business challenges with M&S Ventures' capabilities. You'll participate in and contribute to problem-solving sessions with the project team, client representatives as well as McKinsey consultants on a regular basis. When necessary, you will also serve as the escalation point for all three groups.

As a tenured delivery manager,you'll work very closely with the Head of Client Service in the Americas to drive process improvements in the organization by implementing & rolling-out project management best practices. You will also act as an evangelist for strong project management discipline in the Client Service organization overall, leading by example and coaching Project Managers on such things as budget management, work plan development, risk management/mitigation and ongoing project governance.
