Sensor Network Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 6+ years of professional experience
- Deep understanding of wireless protocols such as 802.11, ZigBee, Lora, Bluetooth, cellular, RFID
- Deep understanding of wired protocols such as I2C, SMBus, 1-wire, USB, RS-232, PCI
- Knowledgeable with messaging protocols such as MQTT, AMQP
- Knowledge of MTConnect, Kepware, and OPC standards a strong plus
- Knowledge of IoT gateway products a strong plus
- Experience with security protocols
- Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink

You will work with the Internet of Things (IoT) team in one of our North American offices. You will have the ability to leverage other areas of Digital McKinsey including the agile prototyping as well as the data engineering experts and digital design specialists to provide a differentiating and distinctive service. You will be a core member of the McKinsey consulting team with responsibilities that range from shaping and implementing strategic technology products to ensuring that McKinsey's craft stays on the leading edge of technology.

What You'll Do
You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative wireless networking solutions and help develop embedded software for wireless sensor networks.
You will conduct performance analysis using simulations and analytical modeling and also closely monitor state-of-the-art developments in academia and industry regarding standardizing wireless network protocols, like Bluetooth, ZigBee, and others.
You will be knowledgeable and passionate about cutting-edge technologies on the topics of sensor and communication technologies, including MEMS integration and RF applications, as well as communication systems for industrial applications.
