Security Engineer - Physical/IT Security Convergence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant Info Security Certifications
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Security Operations or information security
  • Relevant IT or security certifications including CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH or SANS are a plus
  • Knowledge of data security, network security, intrusion prevention, antivirus, systems and applications security, digital forensics, incident response and analysis, vulnerability management, IT systems and operations, and other relevant domains.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant Info Security Certifications
  • Min 4 years of relevant experience in Security Operations or information security
  • Knowledge of data security, network security, intrusion prevention, antivirus, systems and applications security, digital forensics, incident response and analysis, vulnerability management, IT systems and operations, and other relevant domains
  • Experience with physical security systems (Lenel Onguard, HID & others) is preferred but may be waived for exceptional candidates who demonstrate the fundamental skills and aptitudes required for this role
  • Competence in SQL scripting is desired
  • Good assessment of risks factors and potential impact to the Firm
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Who You'll Work With

You will work in our Prague office, as part of our global team Operations Reliability Engineering focused on Security Engineering. The team is responsible for major cyber security projects across the FIRM to mitigate existing risks and facilitate the onboarding of new security programs and policies into security operations. You will work with people with different backgrounds and skills from all over the world (US, Costa Rica, India, Germany, and Czech Republic).

What You'll Do

You will focus on the protection of our facilities, people and IT Infrastructure. You will be a leading contributor to a major initiative to integrate our premises security infrastructure with our cyber security controls.

As the main technical expert in this important area, you will have the opportunity to create lasting impact. The role will have input in these systems are designed, deployed and the types of security controls and policies we will operationalize through our global SOC. You will be expected to be the subject matter expert on anything related to configuration, capacity planning, upgrades etc.

Your primary role will be working with internal McKinsey teams, especially the Global SOC team to implement and manage the system. This work will require close cooperation with our systems vendors, setting up and configuring these systems, including access and CCTV servers. You will write and maintain and all of the required operational processes to be followed by our SOC team. Finally, we eventually expect you to assist in to scaling up this project and join it with our existing SIEM and to perform advance analytics related to a security threats or controls.You will be instrumental in creating a foundation for integrated (physical/IT) security, readying our company and people for the next generation of security including biometrics & mobile credentials (such as smartphone based access token), etc. The role offers exciting opportunities for impact, innovation and personal development in a fast paced and important context.
