Who You'll Work With
You'll work with our Supply Chain Management Center of Competence in our Shanghai office.
You'll be part of our global knowledge network, which includes more than 1,800 knowledge professionals who work alongside our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. You will work with this group to help develop, codify, sanitize, and manage our global knowledge portal, which includes more than 50,000 documents that form the backbone of our firm's knowledge management.
What You'll Do
You'll support client engagements, applying standard supply chain assessment tools to identify and quantify improvement opportunities throughout clients' supply chains.
You'll customize and apply proprietary, McKinsey-owned supply chain tools (e.g., for planning, forecasting, and network design tools) in client situations. You'll support client service teams in analyzing supply chains (e.g., through segmentation, statistic safety stock calculation) and will handle big data analysis. You'll help clients to build supply chain capabilities, potentially applying supply chain academy modules as part of a client study or dedicated training program.
You will also build firm knowledge – through client work and internal initiatives. You will be responsible for codifying key learnings from engagements and maintaining our supply chain case library. You'll convert the firm's supply chain tools (e.g., Network Designer, Compass Tool, etc.) to Chinese and introduce them to your colleagues. You will study and introduce the latest supply chain initiatives, such as e-commerce supply chains and big data, and help to develop the supply chain capability building program – Supply Chain Academy – in China.
